Venture beyond the daytime horizons of the Salar de Uyuni. This 2-day, 1-night circuit grants you double the reflection time, a mesmerizing sunset, overnight accommodation inside a unique salt hotel, and an unforgettable sunrise over the ancient volcanic slopes of Tunupa.
The Route
Day 1: Salar Exploration & Sunset
10:30 AM departure to the Train Cemetery and Colchani salt processing village. Enter the endless salt flats, take perspective photos at the Dakar Rally monument, and hike Incahuasi Island. End the day with a champagne toast at sunset before heading to your Salt Hotel for dinner and overnight rest.
Day 2: Volcán Tunupa & Galaxy Caves
Early morning wake-up to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Salar. Visit the foot of Volcán Tunupa to observe wild flamingos in high-Andean lagoons and explore the pre-Incan mummies at Coquesa. Conclude with a visit to the Galaxy Caves before returning to Uyuni town by 4:00 PM.

Rooms are constructed almost entirely of salt blocks, offering private bathrooms, hot water showers, and comfortable beds designed to insulate against cold desert nights.
Is warm clothing necessary?
Yes! Once the sun sets over the Salar, temperatures drop sharply, often below freezing between May and September. Thermal layers, heavy jackets, gloves, and beanies are required.
Can we arrange a transfer to San Pedro de Atacama on Day 2?
This 2-day circuit returns to Uyuni town. If you need onward transport to Chile, our 3-Day or 4-Day circuits are specifically designed for cross-border routes.
